Garlic Health Benefits & Preparation Tips
Want to improve your cardiovascular system, lower cholesterol & blood pressure, lower your risk of cancer, and fight almost all microbial, bacterial & fungal infections? Then start using fresh garlic in your recipes as much as possible. It tastes great and will vastly improve your general health. If you can't incorporate garlic into your daily cooking or you don't want "garlic breath" I'd strongly recommend that you buy odorless garlic supplements which have most, but not quite all of the benefits of fresh garlic.
Garlic preparation tip: Instead of peeling the garlic with your hands and cutting it up, smash it with a garlic pounder or the handle end of a knife. Then the garlic will usually just slide right out of the skin. Once removed from the skin, pound it up into small pieces instead of cutting it. I've heard 2 cooks say that bruised garlic tastes better than cut garlic.
